Frequently Asked Questions

DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT?

YES! We are open by appointment only. Please click here to send in an appointment request!

How long are your appointments?

Bridal Appointments are booked for 90 minutes.

What is a Virtual Consultation?

A virtual consultation is a quick meeting over Zoom that we usually do the week of your appointment where we learn more about you, your love story, and your wedding, and help you choose 3-4 gowns to start your appointment with! It is also a great time to get all of your questions answered.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?

Panties are a must to maintain sanitary standards! We do not keep bras or shapewear in stock, so please bring a strapless bra and/or shapewear with you if you would like to wear them while trying on dresses, but they are totally not necessary.

We do ask our brides and their guests to remove their shoes to keep our gowns as clean as possible, so feel free to bring slippers or socks.

The most important thing to bring is an open mind and excitement to find your wedding dress! We can’t wait to help you find your dream dress at your dream price!

HOW MANY PEOPLE SHOULD I BRING with me?

We suggest bringing only your closest, most supportive family and friends to your appointment. In our experience, we have found that brides can easily get overwhelmed by too many opinions. We ask that brides respect a 6-adult guest maximum or 8-guest maximum for our Private Suite, depending on the option selected at booking. Additional guests can be included via Zoom or FaceTime! We ask that small children and babies are not brought to your appointment.

CAN I BRING CHILDREN to my appointment?

While we love children, we know that attending a bridal fitting can be difficult for them. This can be a distraction for you and your guests and make it difficult to enjoy the moment of finding your bridal gown. We ask that small children and babies are not brought with you if possible. If childcare is not available and a little one must come to the appointment, we ask that they remain seated or in the lap of an adult during the appointment for their own safety and as a courtesy to the other brides shopping for their dream dress. If a baby or child is crying, we ask that you kindly have a guest step outside with them so that it does not affect another brides shopping experience.

WHAT is the PRICE RANGE of your wedding dresses?

All of the gowns in our collection are under $2,500 for purchase out of our collection. Most of our dresses are in the $999-$1,999 range. We recently introduced our Couture collection of gowns that are priced up to $2,499 for purchase out of our collection. Some gowns can also be ordered for their full retail price plus shipping.

Should I tip my Stylist?

This is totally up to you, but as with any other service, tips are always appreciated! When checking out with a credit card you will be offered the option to add a tip and our Stylists accept cash tips as well.

DO YOU OFFER ALTERATIONS?

We do not do in house alterations, but we have a list of great seamstress options in Rochester, Buffalo, & Syracuse areas. You are also more than welcome to go to any seamstress you choose; we just encourage you to make sure their specialty is altering bridal gowns as it is a very specialized skill.

Where do we park?

We have our own parking lot. Parking is limited and we ask that you carpool when possible! Please only park in the spots next to our building and along the grass on the right side. The parking in the back of the parking lot beyond our dumpsters is for the homes behind and next to our store.

CAn we bring champagne?

Due to NYS liquor laws, we cannot serve or allow any alcohol to be served at Two Hearts Bridal.

can we bring snacks?

We kindly ask that no food or drinks are brought into the store. Water is OK and we provide mini water bottles!

do we need to remove our shoes?

We kindly ask that all shoes are removed upon arrival. We try to keep our store as clean as possible to keep our dresses as clean as possible due to the fact that they are sold off the rack. No one wants a dirty wedding dress :) Please feel free to bring your own slippers or house shoes!

when should i shop for my wedding dress?

Whenever you are ready to purchase your dress! For some brides that is 2 years before their wedding. For others it’s a few months before. Either way, it’s best to not shop and try on dresses before you are financially and emotionally ready to commit to a dress. Since we sell our dresses primarily off the rack, what is here today can be gone tomorrow so we don’t want to see you fall in love with a dress that you aren’t ready to purchase yet!

How many bridal appointments should I book?

We always suggest taking wedding dress shopping one dress and one store at time. Booking multiple appointments in one day or even one weekend might sound fun, but every single weekend we see brides doing that who are overwhelmed and exhausted by decision fatigue. It is best to do your research and find the store that best suits your style, your price point, has your size in stock to try on, and can work with your timeline. Start with the best store for you and go from there! You can always book more appointments if you don't find your dress at that first store. Finding your dress is a lot less complicated than most brides think, but you have to have an open mind and an open heart to finding your dress :)

Do you have any payment plans?

At Two Hearts Bridal, we require payment in full for gowns purchased out of our collection and before any special orders are placed. If you are unable to pay in full up front, we are now offering a financing option through Skeps! To check your eligibility, click here.
